Week’s Summary

My first week has been gone in Trinidad and Tobago. Some things have happened since I arrived here, and believe me, only good ones. All I can tell you is that, the few places that I have already visited is nothing comparing what I will discover till my last day in this comfortable Island, so all of these were amazing and exciting. I just have to compliment the English Course, they are really professional, and in the same time I feel in a friendly institution.

The guys who are living in the same homestay as me, they are really cool. I don’t feel as a stranger. Mr. Kenny, the house’s owner is a good person, he treats me like a son, sometimes I can’t understand him because he has his own accent (laughing) he descends from a Chinese family, maybe, that is why he speaks so complicate sometimes. Today I met Mr. Kenny’s brother, Mr. David, he is the man in the picture. We talked for a while, I didn’t have any difficulties to understand him, so it made me understand that Mr. Kenny has his particular way to speak. Anyway I really like Mr. Kenny and all of my friends here in Trinidad and Tobago. Mr. Kenny has been in Brazil twice, he visited São Paulo, Belo Horizonte and Rio de Janeiro, I use to laugh when he says that Rio de Janeiro is “Sandom and Gamorra” I wonder what he did in Rio de Janeiro… (hahahahaahahaha)

You have no idea how I miss my mother in law. Yes, I said “mother in law” because after being treated as a son for her, and when I remember who used to cook at home in Brazil, it makes me cry, because one of the most difficult thing here is when I need to cook. I used to know to cook when I was younger, but the problem is I don’t remember how to cook and where I can find the correct corn flour to make couscous. But I don’t mind because I will lose some unwished fat in my stomach.
Tomorrow will be my first weekend in T&T, I hope I will have time to go out and take more pictures to show them to you.

See you tomorrow
