English class with Mrs. Austin

Last Friday I had English class with Mrs. Austin. She was born in Scotland and has been living in Trinidad for a long time. She is Austin Learning Centre’s director and Caitrina’s mother ( Catriona is my teacher, I will describe her later…). Mrs. Austin is a kind person, all the time she talks with us with kindness and consideration. I love listening to her scotch accent; my class lasts 4 hours every day. I really like studying with Caitriona, although last class with Mrs. Austin I hadn’t been realized that: time had gone!

We were asked to read the famous story: ‘Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare. Mrs. Austin had asked us to read it in a dramatic speech, it was really funny because everyone had to represent one of the characters and speak with good intonation; I played the “Friar Laurence”.

I almost die laughing when Caroline was reading “O Romeo, Romeo, Romeo wherefore art thou Romeo? This kind of atmosphere helps us to learn in a comfortable and confidante way. I really enjoyed my English lesson with Mrs. Austin. I hope I will have another opportunity to be taught by her!
